After going through heaps of products that claim to be safe, trendy and low in cost, we have compiled a few helmets that according to us would certainly meet all your helmet needs.
We have gathered the best of the lot so that we could help you in the whole decision-making process. We have used all of these for about 2-3 months, and we are going to mention all the things that we found while testing them. So without further ado, here’s our list:
1. NENKI NK-856 Full Face Iron Man Motorcycle Helmet
NK-856 is a product of a Chinese helmet manufacturing company called NENKI. NK-856 is a low-cost full-face motorcycle helmet.
As far as the safety standards are concerned, this helmet meets the DOT approval standards.
Nk-856 is a full-face helmet coming in the colour pattern of the Iron Man helmet. It provides ample protection in the face area.
The helmet is aesthetically pleasing and is equipped with an anti-fog dual visor, an iridium red visor, along-with an inner sun shield.
The helmet being light in weight feels easy on the neck though it is not overly comfortable as well. The inner neoprene-like finish is not too thick and thus hard impacts can be felt which do cause discomfort.
Nevertheless, multiple ventilation ports are present that can be opened and closed on choice. The inner liner is removable and washable though the material could have been more durable.
Noise can be of some concern, as there is minimal noise buffering and wind tends to howl around the visor. The visibility is certainly above average though there can be improvements in the anti-fog visor the drop-down sun visor is of good quality.
In conclusion, while being a low-cost helmet, the NK-856 is safe and comfortable to use plus we can’t ignore the impressive graphics that come in the form of an Iron Man helmet.

2. 1STORM HG316 Full Face Motorcycle Helmet
1Storm, a USA based motorcycle helmet manufacturing company, brings HG316, a full-face helmet. With DOT approval, this helmet meets all the required safety standards, that’s one less thing to worry about.
As far as this particular type of helmet is concerned, it brings forth a few noticeable aesthetic qualities, which include, an exquisite design with a magnificent glossy UV protective finish and a comfortable and heavily cushioned interior.
This particular type of interior can be removed and washed as per convenience. HG316 is a lightweight helmet with no compromises on security, it is easy on the neck and the inner lining is comfortable.
The outer shell is made of highly durable aerodynamic thermoplastic alloy, apart from this it is equipped with an aerodynamic rear venturi-effect exhaust spoiler.
Coming to one of the most important aspects of a helmet, ventilation, HG316 is equipped with an excellent ventilation system.
It has a 3-level top ventilation control and 5-position ventilation channels that provide excellent ventilation.

3. Masei Iron Man 610 Open Face Motorcycle Helmetrcycle Helmet
Masei brings to you the Atomic-Man 610 helmet. An open face helmet, this product looks extremely similar to the famous Iron-Man helmet.
This particular model has been presented in matt black colour though it is available in a wider range of colours and sizes.
We tested the security of the helmet and found it to be exceptionally well in this case, plus a DOT approval does answer the security concerns pretty well.
The helmet is equipped with an ABS shell. The pad and liners are made up of leather and are removable thus increasing the compatibility for different sizes.
The padding quality seems above average but the chin piece is substandard.
The helmet has a clear flip-up visor and the company does also offer an anti-fog visor which is certainly impressive but due to the design of the visor, the overall visibility remains affected, particularly in heavy traffic areas could be a matter of concern.
While the helmet is low in cost and does look impressive in design, there are certain objectionable flaws as well.
The thickness of the plastic in the front fascia is 3 mm, there is an irritating wind flow which causes hindrance and noise due to the gap between the chin guard and the visor.
Moreover, while testing the helmet for a speed over 50 mph, we found that the noise becomes unbearable. It comes in different colors as well.

4. HJC RPHA-11 PRO
A rather famous US-based helmet manufacturing company, HJC, introduces RPHA-11, a reliable yet affordable class of full-face helmets.
Apart from the smooth aerodynamics and scintillating design, this particular class of helmets is exceptionally safe and secure. RPHA-11 has the approvals of both ECE and DOT.
It is secure, provides exceptional performance at high speeds, and has a comfortable light shell. HJC has numerous Marvel superhero designs available for this model though the Iron Man design is currently unavailable.
HJC has done an average job as far as venting is concerned, certainly an improvement from the earlier design. An advanced ventilation system has been used along with a chin bar that can be opened or closed.
HJC helmets have always been comfortable, RPHA-11 continues the legacy, it is light, the ear area experiences much less noise and it is easy on the neck too.
The inner liner fabric is removable and washable, we tested the fabric to be antibacterial as well. The cheek pads have emergency straps for quick removal and specialized channels have been designed for eyeglasses.
The most noticeable improvement in this particular design according to us, is the wider field of view, which improves visibility considerably. The shield around the eye-port has no apparent leaks which in combination with the excellent aerodynamics of the helmet, helps cut off the noise and buffeting.
HJC makes different designs of marvel helmets in their RPHA-11 PRO series, you can check them from the official website. But this IRON MAN design one is discontinued.

5. HJC IS-17 Marvel Iron Man Street Motorcycle Helmet
HJC brings another impressive and affordable full-face helmet to the market named IS-17. HJC’s advanced aerodynamic shell structure made from advanced polycarbonate ensures safety, durability, and stability.
This highly effective design is the reason for the DOT and ECE approvals. IS-17 has an intermediate oval head shape combined with a top chimney vent. The design does seem basic but it is effective and flamboyant at the same time.
The helmet is light and stays stable at high speeds. Though in our tests we did find the noise to increase as the speed increased.
The ventilation system is in the form of an advanced channeling ventilation system thus this provides a smooth airflow and increased ventilation.
The vents are located in the top of the helmet as a top chimney vent as well as in the chin. IS-17 has an integrated visor which apart from providing 95% UV protection adds to the design factor of the helmet.
The mechanism of the visor is operational on two modes and the retraction of the sun-shield is exceptionally smooth. The helmet comes with a max vision shield which uses the complete surface of the shield for the vision thus there are no compromises on the visibility.
In IS-17, HJC has used a super cool lining, the lining is smooth and comfortable. The super cool lining is detachable and has antibacterial properties as well. The lining has big cutaways for vent channels and there are channels for eye gear and hearing devices as well.
This model doesn’t come back to stock after we bought it, so you can wait for some time if you really wanna buy it.
